Admiral (Japanese: イッテツ Ittetsu) is a cranky bird villager, which means he will act and appear more mature than other personality types. He only appeared in Animal Crossing and Dōbutsu no Mori e+ and never appeared in any other game in the series. His name and initial quote are both sailing words - admiral being a title given to the supreme commander of a ship, and "aye aye" being a phrase meaning "yes" or "yes sir", or further meaning "Yes, I have received the instructions, understood them, and will carry them out."

He is a green bird with a white jaw line and orange cheeks, and a yellow-orange beak. His overall appearance matches his cranky personality - with deep, serious eyes, and protruding forehead making him appear mature or serious, which are two traits commonly associated with the cranky villager personality. He initially wears the orange pinstripe shirt.

In My Animal Crossing, Admiral's house has a pirate ship theme, complete with various barrels and anchors, as well as having a gold Fishing Tourney trophy. His tape deck plays "Lucky K.K.".

As a cranky villager, Admiral will appear mature compared to other personality types. This will make him appear belittling and insensitive to other villagers, including the player. He will enjoy the usual hobbies, but for relaxation and peace than competition. He will find it difficult to socialize with peppy villagers, who he will criticize when talking to other villagers. Admiral in fact finds it difficult to socialize with any other personality including other Cranky villagers. Sometimes he will come to your town appearing somewhat friendly especially towards the player. But this is rare. The bad news is that Admiral often comes to your town acting completely nastily towards everyone. He can even upset other cranky villagers and will often stay in his house. If you annoy him (push him, hit him with a net, say something mean or worst of all, trap him in a pitfall) there will be almost nothing to do which can improve your relationship with him.

My Animal Crossing[]
Admiral appears as a villager in the Wii U installment of the Animal Crossing series, My Animal Crossing. In the game, he is a cranky bird villager, and wears the Orange Pinstripe. In his first appearance since the original GameCube installments, Admiral can often be found fishing and will talk about various prices fish can be sold for. He is known to be a friend of Pascal.
Admiral's favourite holiday is the Fishing Tourney, as he loves to fish. Admiral will almost always appear on the pedestal at the end of the tourney, often in the first or second place.
His birthday in the game is February 11.
